 HELPING VULNERABLE COMMUNITIES

fighting hunger

ABOUT Us

In late 2012, Jahangir Khan’s mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer. At this same time, Jahangir was struck by reports that more people were struggling to put food on the table for their families.

His mother had always preached that if good comes to you, you should reach out and share your success with others. In her memory, he launched the Rukhsana Khan Foundation.

The mission of the charity is to help local families access food. We launched Walthamstow’s first Food Bank in 2013.

Future plans for the charity include summer lunch clubs for local children and breakfast clubs for the elderly and vulnerable.

Each project relies on volunteers to provide their time to complete required tasks. We are always looking for new volunteers to help us achieve our goals.

Join us as a valuable volunteer and help serve local communities.

Give food

Each Saturday, we give local families, struggling to put food on the table, at least three days of groceries.
